Redmi TV XL features teased on Amazon ahead of India launch

Going by the official teaser, the smart TV will sport an XL display. The screen size hasn't been confirmed yet but rumours suggest it could be the Redmi Max 86-inch, which launched in China recently. If rumours turn out to be true, the price of the Redmi Max 86-inch could be at par with the China pricing. In China, the Redmi Max 86-inch TV is available in a sole black colour option at a price tag of CNY 7,999, which approximately comes around Rs. 91,000.

Xiaomi has a dedicated page for the Redmi TV XL India launch event, which you can access here.

Redmi TV XL features teased

In all likelihood, the Redmi TV XL is the Indian version of the Redmi MAX TV that was launched in China. It features a colossal 86-inch LCD panel with 4K (3840×2160) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate. It covers 92% of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum. Like several modern-day TVs, it features a MEMC chip that allows the TV to adjust its refresh rate dynamically, upscale SD to HD content in real-time, and more. As mentioned earlier, the Redmi TV XL supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, and more.

Under the hood, the Redmi TV XL is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53-based CPU, coupled with a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Connectivity options include three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one S/PDIF port, and one ethernet jack. Ideally, one of the HDMI ports should support eARC. Lastly, the Redmi TV XL packs dual 24W speakers.
