The Redmi TV India launch date has been revealed by the company on Twitter. This comes after the brand teased the smart TV at the end of the Redmi Note 10 launch event last week. The TV will launch in the country on March 17th at 12pm IST and the company is promoting the smart TV with the #XLExperience hashtag, which suggests it could have a large size. Considering Xiaomi already offers a 65-inch model under its Mi branding, we can expect the Redmi smart TV to be larger than that, probably the Redmi MAX 86-inch model that was recently launched in China. It shouldn’t be long before we know more details about Redmi TV.

The Redmi MAX TV sports an 86-inch LCD screen with 4K (3840×2160) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 92 percent DCI-P3 colour spectrum. It also has a MEMC chip that allows to dynamically upscale the content from SD to HD and more. The TV runs on MIUI for TV out of the box and has support for XiaoAI voice assistant, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. The Redmi Max TV is powered by a quad-core processor paired with a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Connectivity options include three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one S/PDIF port, and one Ethernet jack. It has two built-in speakers with 12.5W output.
