With the Realme 8 series launch date set for sometime in March, several leaks have begun to surface around the smartphones. Twitter user @byhimanshu has new information about the colour variants and RAM/ storage configurations of the lineup. The vanilla Realme 8 will be available in two colours, namely Cyber Silver and Cyber Black. It reportedly will be available in 4GB and 8GB RAM options, paired with 128GB storage. On the other hand, the Realme 8 Pro will feature 6GB and 8GB RAM, coupled with 128GB of storage. Its colour options include Infinite Black, Infinite Blue, and Illuminating Yellow. The leaker rounds things off by stating that Realme could tell us more about the series soon as the Realme 8 India launch will happen sometime towards the end of March.
Realme 8 Pro specifications
The 8 Pro is confirmed to feature a 108MP quad-camera setup on the back. The camera will come with a new Tilt-Shift video mode that blurs the foreground and background while focusing on the subject. The front panel will remain flat and sport a punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner. It is unknown if the device will come with an IPS LCD or an AMOLED. There is also no word on support for a high refresh rate screen.
The device is tipped to feature a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The smartphone was also spotted on Geekbench. It will come with a Qualcomm Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. The listing further reveals that the phone will run on Android 11 and come with 8GB of RAM.
Realme 8 specifications
Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed that the Realme 8 will come with a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. The phone will sport a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display and is likely to have a 60Hz refresh rate.
The device will sport a quad-camera setup on the back. It will have a 64MP primary camera. Details of the other three lenses are unknown at the moment. Battery-wise, the phone will pack a 5000 mAh cell. It will come with support for 30W fast charging out of the box.
